Saturday is Caption Day: The Last Haul

The Last Haul, Barmouth: I snapped this one in Barmouth Harbour earlier this week. It’s a statue called The Last Haul. The subject is three fishermen hauling a net in. It is made from a block of marble recovered in the 1980s from an 18th Century shipwreck. The shipwreck had been lying on the seabed near the coast a few miles north of Barmouth. The ship is thought to have been a galleon from Genoa, Italy, which ran into a storm on its way to Britain.
History lesson over – can you caption it?
