William and Kate’s Two Large Homes...Feudal? - Over there to Here

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – I’m going to simply call them William and Kate – have two very large homes: Anmer Hall and Kensington Palace Apartment 1a. William will also one day inherit vast estates.

Wiliam and Kate are generally considered very “down-to-earth.” The image that they eschew the usual pomp and splendor was only reinforced by their living the last couple of years in a four bedroom rented cottage in Anglesey - read here – off the North West coast of Wales.

They’ve also been viewed as almost ‘slumming’ it by temporarily using the small two bedroom Nottingham Cottage – known as Nott Cott – within the Kensington Palace compound while 1a undergoes renovations.

But this ‘low key’ couple are still very much part of the privileged top tier and basically a feudal land system.
