On Wednesday, we used our National Trust membership once again to visit one of the many properties on offer. This time we chose Waddesdon Manor, nr Aylesbury, in Buckinghamshire. I had been told that this was a magnificent place that resembled a princess castle and we were not disappointed.
The pointy turrets and round towers with patterned ivy growing up them, added to the enchanting feel of this lovely property and although we had a look around inside, it was so vast that we didn’t get to see as much as I would have liked.
I would definitely suggest booking your house tour online here first, as although you still have to queue to get your passes, it does cut out a lot of faffing at the tills. It also meant we were guaranteed an early time slot, which meant we had the rest of the day free to explore the gardens.
