Up a hill and into the woods.

Up a hill and into the woods.

This weekend was so busy and really active and fun. On Saturday morning we went to the Amberley Cow Hunt and on the way back home we stopped off at Crickley Hill Country Park, a real family favourite which we have visited at least a million times.

Most of you locals will know it already, there aren’t many people in Cheltenham that don’t. But for those of you who are not so local or new to town it’s easy enough to find. It’s literally where the A417 meets the A436 at the Birdlip roundabout. It’s free to enter and very cheap to park (about £3 all day). There are basic facilities of a toilet and visitor information as well as a wall of maps and walking routes. The whole park is marked with colour coded arrows so its dead easy to pick a route and get around, plus kids LOVE finding and following the arrows.

The park has walking routes both through the woods and over the common, and if you are brave enough routes that take you down the edge of the hill and back up again.
