Treasure in the post

Treasure in the post

The characters go on a little adventure around the beach, looking in a rock pool, in a cave and on a little island for the treasure. After a few false alarms, it's Beans who finally sniffs out the treasure... just the same treasure as our own little surprise that came with the book. Can you guess what it was?

We have always loved the Zoe and Beans books. The characters are really endearing and exceptionally well illustrated. Their little adventures are really exciting for young children and they are just the right length to hold Libby's attention. I particularly love this book because it is very descriptive, not only about their adventure but also about the seaside. I love the fact the book is set outside, encouraging children to get outside for an adventure themselves. It may be just a coincidence, but after we had read the book, Libby insisted on playing outside for the rest of the afternoon and we even ate our dinner out in the garden.
