The Westin Dublin

The Westin Dublin I spent half my childhood growing up the UK and the other half in Ireland and during my years in Ireland I walked by The Westin a million times without ever going in. But I’m so glad I now have because for a hotel in a city it’s a haven of peace and five star comfort away from the busy streets while still being really close to great bars, restaurants and shops.

My sister and I stayed in a Deluxe Twin on the fifth floor and what struck me when I first went into the room (other than the cheese, figs, grapes, chutney, crackers and wine) was the huge leather headboard the width of the room and the balcony overlooking the city. As beautiful as I find country styled properties with tartans and big comfy sofas I think deep down I’m a city girl. I loved the decor’s sleekness and clean lines as well as the modern touches of the room, although it did still have more traditional pieces of furniture like a wooden desk and prints of old Irish script.
