Tanners Lane Beach, New Forest

Tanners Lane Beach, New Forest

At the end of Tanners Lane lies one of our favourite New Forest spots. It’s a pebbly/muddy beach but very picturesque and quiet. We’ve seen New Forest ponies wondering along the beach at times, but very few people! It’s perfect for a family stroll and watching the boats go by, with great views of the Isle of Wight. There is a bridge over an estuary and we often see swans here too. You can walk under the shade of the trees, but it does get very muddy at points. It’s also a great place to spot crabs!
