Poppy Seed Heads ~ Macro Photography…

A few weeks ago, when I was clearing away last year’s dead and dried plant growth around the garden, I found three poppy seed heads. To keep them in once piece, I popped them into my greenhouse and have been meaning to photograph them ever since.

This Saturday’s Better Photo Project from Love All Blogs is about Macro Photography, with a list of handy hints to help you get great results.

The weather was a little breezy, with light drizzly rain, not the best conditions for taking photographs of a very delicate subject, so I left the seed heads in my greenhouse and took my equipment there. Being glass I didn’t lose any light and now that Mr HC has replaced the broken panes of glass, there was no wind either, plus I, and (more importantly), my camera, stayed dry.
