Grey. A world faded to grey. Bled of colour. A seemingly endless expanse of white punctuated by shades of grey. Accented by harsh blacks. With skies grey and heavy with snow; skeletal tree branches stand starkly; the ground is covered in a blanket of white. Even sounds are hushed and muted, grey in feeling and tone. Winter: desolate, beautiful, freezing. Stunning to all senses.
