With Mother’s Day fast approaching the shops are filling up with gift ideas. As a mum and a gardener I’ve been thinking about what gardening-themed gifts I might like to receive. Here’s my top 5.
A special plant Every gardener has one thing in common: they never believe they have too many plants, so a lovely new specimen is always a great idea for a gift. You could go for something with particular relevance to the recipient, such as a rose with their name (or their child’s name), or a plant that they had in their childhood garden. I think giving a personal touch to a gift like this makes all the difference. One thing to remember though – try to buy a plant that suits the conditions of the garden it is destined for, to give it the best chance of flourishing.
