Learning to Ride a Bike - Grenglish

A bike, especially your first ever bike, is something you will remember forever. It represents a coming of age; a right of passage; and signifies the moment you stop being a baby and become a bona-fide boy or girl. We decided that for our son’s 4th birthday, in the year in which he would also start school, we would give him a bike. A grown-up present for our grown-up little boy… *sobs* As he is pretty superhero obsessed at the moment, we went for a Spiderman themed bike and matching helmet. The bike came fully assembled, but I think they assumed that we would be able to work out the helmet all by ourselves.
