Cosy up. Cosy up with throws and blankets when you are watching the television or relaxing. If you grab a hot drink you can also warm up your hands too. Find blankets cheaply either in charity shops or hunt down bargains.

Add layers. Layers of thin clothing topped off with a cosy fleece or jumper keep you really warm. Start with vests and thin tops and tights/leggings and then add on the layers.
