In defence of lions: Kenya’s warriors protecting humans and lions alike

When man and beast enter into competition, humans ultimately have the upper hand. Unfortunately, this competition (in combination with the short-sightedness of those involved) has repeatedly led to the extinction of remarkable species such as the dodo (overhunted), the Western Black Rhinoceros (poached) and the Moa (also overhunted). When we lose species that fascinate, educate and stand out amongst all of nature it is truly a loss that hits the whole world hard, and where possible, action should always take place in order to prevent the further decline of biodiversity.
