In a recent survey 80% of young girls said they wanted to be referred to as pretty, kind and funny with only 20% choosing clever, strong or brave as important attributes.
That bothers me a lot.
I have always known Girls are Amazing.
I knew I was an amazing girl right form being a child because my mum told me so.
Society kind of told me I should like pink and stickers and be fluffy pretty and cute. I strode out strongly into the world supporting the miners strike, riding horses fast and proclaiming my vegetarianism…happy to be different, outspoken, mucky. I also liked pink lipstick and pointy shoes and rara skirts (first time round.)
