Freesat launches new Children’s Christmas Showcase

Freesat Christmas ShowcaseThere's a new TV Guide for Parents and Children this Festive season courtesy of Freesat, the subscription free satellite TV service that offers digital television to everyone in the UK.  Freesat has a seasonal Children’s TV Guide, the ‘Christmas Showcase’, live on Showing you very best of free TV everyday of the Christmas holidays, the Freesat Children’s Christmas Showcase is for both parents and children who want to find programmes to watch over the festive holidays. This web-based TV Guide will focus both on programmes that are specifically designed for children like Peppa Pig, but also popular films like The Gruffalo and family viewing favourites like Dr Who, Strictly or Operation Snow Tiger, making it a fab place to head to to plan your festive viewing.

The Freesat Children’s Christmas Showcase is split into five genre: Little Ones (age 3-6) and Juniors (age 7-11), Family, Movies and Grown Ups TV. There's also recommendations on what to watch, from movies to favourite series whether they’re on live TV or on Freesat’s On Demand services from BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5.

Prefer holding the  times in your hand and circling what you want to watch? (Old skool!) Fear not! There’s also a downloadable guide that you can print and use in front of the TV.

The Freesat Children’s Christmas Showcase is live now at and will be a daily guide and recommendations service until the 2nd of January 2014.

Now, the question is - what is your must watch programme on over Christmas? For us it's The Snowman and Snowdog and some good old Wallace and Grommit!
