Feather Garland DIY

Feather Garland DIY

After spotting these gorgeous feathers a couple of weeks back in my local fabric shop I knew I had to have them! I’m a little bit obsessed with making garlands (so much quicker and more fun than proper bunting I think) so a feather garland seemed like the perfect thing for me to make!

Feather garland DIY

This DIY is really really quick to make, I think the thing that took me the longest was threading the needle!

For this you will need:

Bakers Twine

Needle (Use a large one such as a darning needle, bakers twine is thick)

Something to hang your feather garland with. I used washi tape as it’s easy to move around and …err… I love washi tape.

Measure out how long you want your garland to be and cut your bakers twine appropriately. Near one end tie a knot, this is where your first feather will go. Thread your needle with the bakers twine and then ‘sew’ through your feather. Be a bit careful here as they can split.
