I recently posted some tips for a great family holiday, it is that time of year after all, talking about all the ways we can make the most of our time away together. Unfortunately, as well as planning for fun we also need to plan for the worst, especially if we’re travelling with children. The Foreign Office website is a really useful resource for all sorts of information on traveling and they have a section that gives some great advice about what you should look for in a Travel Insurance Policy.

The FCO advises that the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) doesn’t always cover everything you might need, although you should still get one for travel in Europe. You should try to find a policy that covers:
