Apple Pressing for Cider ....

I may be giving the impression with these posts that I like a drink, however, this couldn't be further from the truth. Despite that my only foray with making consumables seems to be in the alcohol department. As we are rubbish at cooking in this house its the easiest way to use fruit, so my home brews will either result in a tasting party or they shall be bottled up for presents.  

We have two apple trees in our garden and some years, like this, there is an abundance of fruit which needs to be used somehow. Several attempts at chutney and jam, which were quite successful but too involved for me, now left me with the question of what to do with apples.
