Crossfit. It feels like I was meant to do it.

A few days ago when I was cleaning out my Gmail, I found the very first email I sent to Crossfit Thames. In it I said that I’m a runner and would like to start doing Crossfit once a week. I read that and thought – Awww. Isn’t that cute?

It’s been over 2 years now and I’ve gone from once a week to twice a week to three times a week. The truth is that I just can’t get enough. I want to do.all.the.Crossfit. All.the.time.

It’s just so freaking fun. Learning new skills. Feeling like a kid. Conquering fears. Doing things that look totally impossible at first (rope climbs, headstands, handstands, chin ups, double unders, etc., etc., etc.). Feeling invincible and so freaking alive.

There’s so much pure primal joy in ‘playing’ this way. I don’t know any other way to describe it. It just feels like I was meant to do this. (I do not feel like that when I do (did) exercise videos in my living room :) ...
