Cambodia Community Health Project ‘The Blue House’ by Lucy Billings, 2013

Lucy Billings decided that after becoming a newly registered nurse in Australia, she wanted to gain experience in healthcare within a third world country. The skills to be gained in a different environment are invaluable to anyone in the healthcare industry. When faced with trauma, the maternity ward and other medical emergencies with less than optimal equipment, the ability to deliver exceptional healthcare is something immensely valuable both to the experience and compentence of the practitioner, and the person receiving treatment. Lucy has written extensively about her time in Cambodia so she can let future volunteers and anyone who's interested read about her incredible time there, so without further ado, here's what she had to say.
