These Button Biscuits are super cute, simple to make and the perfect size for treats and snacks.
Biscuit Dough Ingredients 225g butter 225g sugar 1 medium egg 1 tsp vanilla essence 450g plain flour
Cream the sugar and butter together until the butter lightens in colour. Mix in the beaten egg and vanilla essence. Finally add the the flour and mix until you get a nice soft dough but solid dough. I don't sift the flour as I think it helps the dough keep it's shape better. Also note it may take a while before all the flour gets worked in but keep at it and don't be tempted to add any liquid. .
Roll out your dough to about 5mm in thickness and cut out your circles. The trick is to cut nice small circles. I use my 3rd biggest pastry cutting circle to cut the biscuit.
