The first I heard of Boko Haram’s abduction of nearly 300 girls from their school in Chibok, Nigera was more than two weeks after they’d been missing. Miss 6 was sat in the same room, ‘what’s wrong mama? what’s happened?’. What are you supposed to say to a six year old?
Sometimes the most effective thing we can do when we see an injustice is to speak out about it, shout out about it. Don’t let it happen infront of you without a word being said. Say it again and again until the people who have the power to do something start doing it. Say it again and again until it’s finished; again and again until there’s justice; again and again so they know they are not on their own.
