Art, eating, and hotels are three of my favourite things, so breakfast at Dean Street Townhouse was an absolute must on my list of hotels to visit. And myyyy what a treat it was.
A few weeks ago Laura and I met on a Saturday morning in a strangely quiet but very peaceful Soho. Surrounded by Tracey Emin and Pure Evil pieces, as well as a framed Lindsay Lohan quote I’m not quite sure she is capable of, we settled in for a leisurely and beautifully tasting breakfast.
Despite booking a table a number of weeks in advance we could only get a reservation for 10am rather than a later time of 11ish which would have been preferred, but it just shows how popular the restaurant is. And rightly so.
I ordered scrambled eggs on toast with crispy bacon then began to worry the eggs would arrive and be those awful hard rubbery type you usually get at a hotel breakfast buffet. Luckily there was no need to worry at all as they were a fantastic fresh mix of buttery seasoned goodness made to the perfect consistency, sat on top of thick slices of wholegrain toast. Excellent.
