But this isn’t any ordinary salad – this is a Quinoa Salad!
Quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is being hailed as the new superfood!
It’s an incredible source of protein, having more that most grains, and twice more then rice or barley. It isn’t a grain at all though, it’s actually from the same family as spinach. It’s also a brilliant source of calcium, magnesium and manganese; and has good levels of several B vitamins, vitamin E, dietary fibre and all 9 of the amino acids! It’s the least allergic of all of the grains, so it’s perfect for those who need a wheat free diet.
