5 ways to be instantly more confident

I’m definitely guilty of being a bit shy and quiet in social situations with people I don’t know. If I’m in a large group of people and there’s one loud person dominating the conversation, I can’t be bothered to fight them for the limelight. I hate being the centre of attention anyway.

But there are times when you do need to fight for the limelight. Say in a work situation where you’re trying to win over a potential client, when you’re giving an important presentation or at a networking group where you want to meet new people.

I’m currently reading a really good book by Leil Lowndes, from which this quote is taken:

“The way you look and the way you move is more than 80 per cent of someone’s first impression of you.”

So I was thinking about how you could apply this to everyday social situations, either at work or in your personal life.
