I’m a sucker for rooftop bars and before a recent trip to Vienna I decided visiting the roof terrace at 25hours Hotel would be the perfect opportunity to see the capital while sipping a refreshing glass of Austrian wine. But before we even arrived the hotel turned out to offer so much more than just a roof bar; it was a quirky, unique, and well thought out hotel in the MuseumsQuartier of Vienna, and a place where arty and creative people would feel right at home.
Der dachboden (the attic) had both an inside and outside area and was decked out like a warehouse with huge wooden tables, industrial sized hanging lights, and mix matched furniture. The DJ played Eurodance music while the waiting staff moved around the floor collecting glasses and delivering drinks. It was a really casual spot and a bar which wouldn’t have been out of place in a relaxed LA suburb.
