It was the kind of scene you never want to experience yourself, a frantic weeping mother calling out for her 3 year old daughter on a large crowded beach, eyes scanning the area for all the potential water hazards, cave-ridden cliffs and possible predators that may have claimed her precious child. Mother and child were soon reunited and so this story has a happy ending but others haven’t been so lucky.This was a situation I witnessed yesterday at one of Cornwalls popular tourist beaches, but really it could happen anywhere at any time to any of us….
