EJB who is on the verge of turning 14, told us of the pressure students are now under to decide on paths of study for 6th form and above when they are still 2-3 years away, to the point where she is visibly stressed and upset. Piled on top of running the gauntlet that is adolescence, having well meaning teachers and parents all give an opinion on the best course forward must be horribly confusing. She just wants to please everyone that loves her but in doing so she may well not please herself.
