When I think about my family and I travelling to my friends’ wedding in Turkey this September, the hairs on my back stand on end and I shudder at the thought of the almost inevitably stressful journey there and back to London. Why am I so worried when I should be rejoicing travelling to a beautiful and awe-inspiring country like Turkey? Let me explain…
I have two young boys – no, scratch that – I have two young BABY boys!
My eldest son, Aron, who is now 16 months old, is a real energy buster and he gives the Duracell bunny a run for his money. He’s going to be 21 months in September and I’m guessing his energy and boredom levels are going to rise too. My youngest, Aidan, is 2 weeks old and he’s going to be 5 months old when we travel – not quite old enough to be independent and not quite young enough to sleep through long journeys (unless I’m lucky and I time my feeds exactly), so he’s going to be attached to me throughout the entire journey.
