We have so many cute, little corners in our home. Corners, and shelves, filled with treasures and memories, be they photographs, trinkets, well-thumbed books, the odd postcard collected from a fun or family day out, or our favourite cocktail glasses and drinks placed perfectly on a much-deliberated-over bar tray. They all have their just-so spot; positioned or stacked neatly and occasionally moved a centimetre to the left or a centimetre to the right as the mood takes me.
But then there's our new shelf. A recent addition to the kitchen and purchased in an attempt to clear the worktops of all the things that inevitably collect there with four people passing through and emptying their pockets, bags and purses.
