As parents of young children we have additional sources and methods of food waste – we lovingly prepare, cook and serve food…only for it to be left on the plate, the floor, the walls or perhaps even on the ceiling(!) by our children.
I’m not a believer in the “waste not want not” ethos. Why, when you’re stuffed full and cannot eat another morsel, should we force feed ourselves (and our children) to to eat more simply to avoid waste?
This post suggests other ideas which we can try to cut down on the food wasted by our children.
