Grab the LABit tool for iPad
On your iPad go to Settings -> Safari ->
Ensure ‘Always Show Bookmarks Bar’ is turned on, ‘Accept Cookies’ is set to from visitied and ‘Javascript’ is checked on.
Now from your iPad homescreen select Safari and go to http://loveallblogs.com. Select the bookmark icon from the toolbar. This is the icon of a rectangle with an arrow in it that you can find to the left of the url bar.
Click Add Bookmark and set the name as LABit and hit save.
Next select the Bookmarks Bar which is the icon in the toolbar that looks like an open book. You will see a list of your bookmarks – do not click on any of them – instead select Edit in the top right hand corner.
Click on the little arrow to the right of where LABit is listed.
Select the url which is in the 2nd little box down underneath where it says ‘LABit’ and delete the url completely…
then add this code below to that box instead…
javascript:var d=document,w=window,ws=w.
When you have done that click ‘done‘ on your ipad keyboard:
Now when you read a post that you’d like showcased you can select some text (around 100 words)
and click LABit on the bookmarks bar – a new window will open and follow the really fast and easy instructions to add the post!

I can’t get this to work.
The paragraph before the JavaScript code doesn’t make sense. I assumed you meant to replace the URL with the code?
I have LABit in my bookmarks bar but pressing it does nothing.
Disappointed as now I cannot share my posts on LAB.
I do indeed mean replace the url with the code.
Remember before you press LABit on your bookmark bar you need to have selected text from the post you want to submit.

Thanks for changing that sentence. Even with selecting/copying text first I can’t get this to work, pressing the bookmark doesn’t do anything (I’ve checked JavaScript, popups and cookies etc are allowed). Are other people managing to get this to work (is it just me)?
I have tried it on my iPad and other’s have gotten it to work too. I shall create a tutorial video this morning to show how to do it step by step and hopefully that will help. Thanks for bearing with us!

Hi, I can’t get this to work on my iPad either. I’ve checked and double-checked all the settings and select text before pressing LAB-it. Any ideas?

Oh Annie, I’m still struggling with the LAB-it button. iPad safari is not the same as MacBook Safari and I just can’t get it to work.
I have tried using the link you posted above to do old style posting, but not sure it has worked.
I haven’t posted to LAB for weeks and weeks

Sorry Annie, it doesn’t work for me either.
Can I suggest that you stick the code within “code” tags in the post to strip out any funny characters WordPress may or may not be adding. I did this with the code when I posted instructions on adding a Pin-It button to an iPad which works perfectly.
Let me know if I can help in any way.
Another option is to set up Bookmarlet Viewer (http://kawanet.blogspot.co.uk/2010/08/bookmarklet-viewer-bookmarklet-for.html) and use that to copy the JavaScript from the desktop LABit button page. Definitely looks like WP has altered the code.
