2012 marks 30 years since the publication of Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell. I’m sure that most parents will be familiar with the book - the simple, repetitive story and interactive flaps mean all young children love it. 5 million copies of the book have been sold worldwide, and it is still as popular today as it was in 1982.

The simple story follows a selection of animals sent by the zoo as potential pets, and the reason why each is unsuitable before the perfect pet is found in the end.
