Here are my tips from my vast car boot selling experience (of umm, six sales)…

DO take a box with a lid for your takings and a float (notes and lots of coins). We kept ours in the car out of view and put notes into a zipped pocket throughout the day. Make a note of what you put in the float so you can work out what you’ve made.

DON’T leave the box containing the cash, a pen and a pair of scissors within the toddlers reach when you get home…
