Our family (on my Mum’s side) has always been a crafty one. No, we’re not devious – we’re super-nice actually – we make stuff.

I grew up around strong women who created. When I was tiny I helped my Granny mould & paint plaster-of-paris figurines; she taught me cross stitch & how to knit (though I can’t knit now – it’s on my list) & now whenever I visit she is knitting soft toys & restoring antique teddy bears or has learned a new skill out of the blue…
